Collection: Sadie's Garden: A Celebration of Love and Memory

I created "Sadie’s Garden" to honour my beautiful grandmother. She had a quiet love of growing things and her home was always full of plants and blooming flowers. Her garden was more than just a collection of plants, it was a place where I felt nurtured and loved. Some of my most treasured memories are of the time we spent together there, surrounded by the beauty she had cultivated. This series is my way of preserving those moments.

Creating this body of work has been a deeply personal and emotional process. As I painted each piece, I found myself reflecting on the warmth and support my grandmother gave me throughout my life. Her presence was gentle but strong, and I wanted that to come through in these works. Through the use of colour, depth and delicate detail, I have tried to capture the essence of who Sadie was, full of beauty, gentle in presence, yet quietly strong.

Sadie’s Garden is my way of holding onto her. It’s a tribute to the quiet, steady way she loved. Though she’s no longer here, her presence lingers in the memories, in the lessons she passed on, and in the way her love still grounds me. That kind of love doesn’t fade with time—it stays with you, woven into who you are. Each piece in this series carries a part of that love, a reflection of the gentle, joyful moments we shared. They continue to shape me, reminding me that even after someone is gone, the love remains.
